Three Thoughts on the First Christmas

When you study the Bible, try to get the original thought of the writer. Oftentimes, we read into the text what is not there. But Bible study is not about what you read into the text, but about drawing out what is from the text. The meaning of Scripture begins with the thought of the sacred writer.

I mentioned that because today, we will try to grasp what Luke is telling us about the first Christmas in Luke 2:1-11. I have tried to capture some of Luke’s thoughts of the first Christmas. I have summarized it in three thoughts. I’d like you to take home three thoughts from the first Christmas.
