About the Blog

The purpose of this blog is to magnify the glory of God’s grace.  The goal of God is the glory of God.  His glory drives all His actions.  There is only one reason why God in eternity past saved us in Christ–the praise of the glory of His grace.  The apostle Paul wrote,

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace (Ephesians 1:4-6, NKJV, emphasis added).

By divine grace, God chose us in Christ, to live holy lives for Him.  By that same grace, He marked us out unto adoption in Christ.  By divine favor, He forgave me–an undeserving sinner–in Christ.  By that same unearned favor, He bought me by the blood of Christ on the cross.  He did not forgive me because of me.  He redeemed me because of His grace, according to the pleasure of His will.  By the same grace, He sealed me with the Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of my eternal inheritance someday soon (See Ephesians 1:7-14).

Thus, the world does not revolve around me.  Rather, I revolve around God.  I am not to live for myself.  I am to live for God, to the praise of His glorious grace.  For the very reason of my salvation, and indeed, my very being, is the glory of His grace.
